The VLGA is holding its second Leading the Agenda of 2019 on Thursday 11 April 2019, with the topic ‘Activating Community’.

This panel discussion will be moderated by Dr Susan Rennie, Mayor of Darebin City Council.

Panellists include:

  • Rose O’Leary – Community Engagement (Gambling) at the VLGA
  • Louise Page – ‘Save Westernport’ campaign
  • Michele Purtle – Advocacy and Communications

If you are interested in effective community engagement for change, then this panel discussion is for you. VLGA panellists have diverse experiences in community organising and campaigns for positive change in local communities. They will discuss how to meaningfully mobilise and engage groups in a technological environment where it can be difficult to cut through the noise.

*A light lunch will be served*
