This panel discussion, presented by the VLGA and Leading the Agenda partner Pitcher Partners, will focus on the strengths and limitations of our current planning system and explore whether councils are serving their community’s interests as the designated “responsible authority” under the Planning and Environment Act. The panel may also consider the impact on councils and developers of recent amendments to the Act, such as those relating to affordable housing; and what improvements can be made to the current planning system.

Moderated by Martine Letts Chief Executive Officer, Committee for Melbourne the panel includes:

  • Sue Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer, City of Darebin
